Maria Potoniec, 72, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, April 28, 2016. Maria was born August 8, 1943 in Poland to parents Jan and Karolina Kowalczyk. Beloved wife of Jozef Potoniec for 49 years. Loving mother Marek (Zofia) Bernas, Janusz (Beata) Potoniec, Zdzislaw (Dorota) Potoniec. Proud grandmother of Justyna and Monika Bernas, Anna, Matthew, and Victoria Potoniec. Devoted daughter of the late Jan and Karolina Kowalczyk. Fond sister of Stanislawa, Kazimierz, Stanislaw, Jozef, Helena, Wladyslaw, Krystyna, Andrzej, and the late Jan. Dear Aunt and cousin of many.
